The Explorer’s Path

Inner World Building sessions are designed for those who are curious about their inner landscape and want a space to discover more. Using the sandtray and figures, you follow what feels like the right next step — letting images, ideas, and symbols emerge naturally. Afterwards, there’s time to reflect together, connecting what showed up to your daily life.

Research in psychology and neuroscience shows that creative, symbolic processes like this activate multiple areas of the brain at once. Working with your hands while engaging imagination can lower stress, regulate the nervous system, and help integrate thoughts and feelings that are hard to put into words. It often leaves people with a sense of clarity, calm, and renewed energy.

Explorers come in many forms:

  • People navigating important life transitions (graduations, retirements, divorce, having a child, marriage, new work positions...) and wanting to honor the change with intention and support.
  • Athletes, artists, or professionals looking to reconnect with purpose and motivation.
  • Parents seeking steadiness amidst daily demands.
  • Anyone who feels “stuck” and craves a way to move forward through creativity rather than just talking.

You can try a one-off or drop in as curiosity calls. Many people find even a single session refreshing. At the same time, longer series allow you to move past the initial awkwardness and go deeper. With repeated sessions, patterns emerge and the tray becomes a trusted space where more subtle discoveries can surface.

Practical Details

  • Sessions are 1 hour long.
  • Option for 1:1 sessions or 2 people at a time (friends/partners welcome).
  • Book a single session or a discounted series.
  • Schedule at your own pace — flexible, easy booking.

Series & Reflection Sessions

  • 5-Session Series: Includes some printed images of your creations, along with written reflections. These may draw on the history of certain symbols, highlight the dynamics of a scene (e.g. a fight, a homecoming), and pose open questions to invite further exploration.
  • 10-Session Series or more: Concludes with a dedicated Reflection Session, where your creations are printed and displayed so you can witness the arc of your journey and share insights from the process.
  • Ongoing: For those who wish to continue, Inner World Building can become a steady source of support. You choose the rhythm of sessions, and together we can decide when a Reflection Session feels right. Many people find that long-term engagement deepens insight, resilience, and connection with their inner world.

For Explorers, the process offers both structure and openness. It’s a safe container for curiosity, clarity, and self-discovery — a way to step in, see what emerges, and carry those insights back into your everyday life.
